Introducing...Pip the polar bear cub

I am really pleased to introduce little Pip to the world.  He is a cute polar bear cub made with gorgeous winter white alpaca.  He was feeling a bit chilly so I have made him his own little scarf held in place with a sparkly button!

Pip is the first of my new style designs and I am delighted with how he has turned out.

Pip will be joining me and the other Flopsey Bears at Teddies 2015 in Kensington this weekend.  I am hoping someone there falls in love with him as I have, and wants to adopt him and take him home.

I had been taking a break from bearmaking for a while, when I got a call from a lovely lady called Irene, to ask if I would be interested in taking a stand at the Teddies 2015 Show in Kensington, London on 13th September 2015.

This had been one of my goals for a long time, so of course I said yes please!

Since then I have been hard at work, creating a collection which reflects the original style of Flopsey Bears, but also with a few new designs as well, which I hope you will love as much as I do.

There will be literally, thousands of bears to see as well as other activities and I hope to see lots of friendly faces there.

To find out everything you need to know about the venue, times etc. please visit the link above.

Flopsey Bears will be on Stand 102a in Hall 3.

Flopsey Bears will be at the Hampshire Teddy Bear Autumn Fair on Sunday 20th October 2013.

I am really looking forward to this fair. There should be lots to see and it is a gorgeous part of the country so why not take a Sunday drive to see us?

The fair is incorporating Pudsey's New Friend Award and the winning entry will be donated to Children in Need and be auctioned to raise funds for this great cause.

The two  Flopsies on the left are Teddy and Davina (the rabbit), who are for sale and would love to find a new home on Sunday.

There is so much going on, I don't seem to have a minute lately, but am still enjoying the preparations for the show.
I thought it was time that I started to preview some of the bears who will be joining me at the Teddy Bear Artist Event on 16th June 2013, Stratford-upon-Avon.

Why not come along? It will be a lovely day out, and a perfect time to visit this beautiful city.

So here is Winnie, the little black and white panda. He is very cute and I am really pleased with him.  Big brother Denim is not for sale, he is my own guardian bear, who is always on hand for a photo-shoot or hug!

And also Garnet, who is also ready for the show, he is a larger style bear, with a gorgeous face made from a really unusual colour Alpaca, I am not sure whether it is pink, beige or pinky beige, but anyway he is looking forward to the trip and I hope will find a lovely new home.

Preparation, Preparation

Well, I haven't surfaced much in the past weeks, I have been working hard on my collection for the Teddy Bear Artist Event on 16th June.

The bears are well on the way, I set myself a target of 12 and I should make it in time.

I am loving stretching my creativity and have come up with some new designs which I am really pleased with.

I have also given thought to marketing, and had some
postcards designed to hand out at the show.

The photographs were taken, and the postcard designed, by Dave of Wild Scape, (www.wild-scape.co.uk), who agreed to turn his talents away from photographing the natural world for a day to help me with this project.

I will shortly be posting pictures of the bears you can meet and adopt at the show.

TBAE 2008 - Can you spot me in this photo?
I heard on Friday that I have a stand at the

Teddy Bear Artist Event, Stratford-upon-Avon on 16th June 2013.

This is very exiciting, this is one of my favourite events, since I attend in 2008 which was the first year it was held.

I am thrilled to be able to show my bears and meet collectors and other artists face to face.

I have already started planning my collection of  so a lot of hours work ahead, but I couldn't be happier.

I would love you to meet Sparkles.  A really sweet Flopsey Rabbit, made of gorgeous hand dyed mint green and cream alpaca.

He is 35cm or approximately 14 inches tall, not including his ears, with glass eyes and polyester stuffing.  His arms and legs are heavily weighted with steel shot, which gives him a lovely weight to cuddle and also be able to sit and hang in a variety of poses.

As you can see from the photographs, he loves to climb trees, but I did manage to coax him down, and he is now sitting quietly waiting to go to his new home.

Adoption fee:
£65.00 plus postage
Please email me if you would like to adopt Sparkles: carole

Indie is a loveable little bear. He is made of beautifully soft, hand dyed alpaca in shades of oatmeal and mauve, (the colour is less pinky than  shown in these photographs).

He is 28cm (11") tall, button jointed, with glass eyes and polyester stuffing, his arms and legs are heavily weighted with steel shot, which makes him able to sit and hang in a variety of poses.

Indie has a thoughtful expression and would love to be welcomed into your home.

Adoption  fee:
£55.00 plus postage.

Please note - due to small parts, Indie is not suitable as a toy for young children.

I have been working on this for some time and am pleased with the result.

Please take a look, I would love to hear what you think.

I will be posting all the bears for adoption on this Blog, as well as on a specialist Website for artist bear collectors, called
Bear Pile.

I hope you enjoy your visit and look forward to sharing the journey with you.
